What is the booking process & how soon can an engineer be on site?
Once you’ve decided you would like to use our services, you can either call us on 020 3667 0868 or email us at bookings@certify-me.co.uk with the service you require and your address. We will then work with yourself to book in the most convenient date with either yourself, tenant or managing agent. Once the job has been completed, an invoice will be raised and a certificate/document will be electronically sent 24 hours after payment has been confirmed.
The documents sent to me suggest I carry out remedial works, how do we deal with this?
In the unfortunate event that remedial works are required or suggested and upon your confirmation, a quotation for the same will be provided. Once you confirm you are happy and in acceptance of our quotation, we will proceed with remedials. Depending on the severity of the job at hand, a deposit may be required before we reattend to carry out necessary works. Please note, an updated certificate will be raised and sent to you once payment has been cleared in full.
What are my requirements as a landlord/home owner?
As a landlord, you are responsible for the safety of your tenants. One way in which you can ensure tenant safety is by carrying out regulatory checks when required. An annual gas safety check is imperitive, an electrical condition installation report should be undertaken every 5 years. Records should be kept for yourselves and a copy to the tenant immediately.
Do I have to use a registered engineer?
Only certified engineers should carry out works to your properties gas & electric. We only employ certified and accredited engineers who take pride in the work they carry out.
